Our Crazy Life

Sometimes life wont let you catch up. We were planning to move to Brooklyn, NY so that Brandon could go to NYU for dental school. We bought plane tickets and we had a place to live. We also had a 5,000 dollar deposit down at the school. 10 days before we were going to fly out Brandon got into the new dental school in South Jordan. We struggle over the decision for about 2 days, and we finally decided to stay in Utah.

At first I was not happy we were staying, but now I am. We move to Lehi and I am going to buckle down and finish school as soon as I can. We are happy and life is good. We still get to be around our families and we have been having fun finally spending our gift cards and getting an apartment together.

3 months to go....

So 3 months sounds like a long time, and it is, but when you consider that were engaged for the better part of 5 months it is super exciting. I am ready for things to start happening and for the fun things to start. Becky was asking me about my bridal shower and i got really excited. Also I talk to Angi about center pieces and she has a lot of cute ideas. I am so glad I have sisters and a mom that care about me so much. They have been a lot of help in planning and brainstorming.

I was stressing myself out and wanting everyting to be my way (even though I had no idea what that was would be.) Then one day I realized that all that really matters is me getting married to my Best Friend!!! All of the other things are fun, but in all reality they don't matter. So after that I chilled out and let people help me. I have been so much happier and I am able to focus on more important things like Brand-o getting accepted into dental schools!

I'm really excited and I am really ready for the end of the semester!

Exciting week

This last weekend Brandon and I went up to Temple Square to see the lights. It was really fun, but Salt Lake was crazy!!!

The most exciting thing that happened this week was Brando getting accepted into the NYU School of Dentistry! He was really cute when he wanted to tell me. He came over and told me he wanted to go for a drive. We drove down to the lake, which is our favorite spot, and he made me sit on his tool box. Then he handed me a piece of paper to read and while I was reading his acceptance letter he pulled out a bottle of sparkling cider and opened it when I looked up! Haha it was really cute :) He was really excited. I am not sure how I feel about New York but I think it would be neat.

Maybe the next time he is acting weird I will come home with a ring ;)

Alvin and Brittney!

For Halloween Brandon and I dressed up as Alvin and Brittney from the chipmunks and we were pretty darn cute! We made his costume from a red sweater and some yellow duct tape :) Awesome! We had little get together with my only other friends Alayna and Elayna from my classes. We played games and watched What lies Beneath and it is still scary even though I have seen it like 3 times.

My other Halloween activity was meeting Becky in Gardener Villeage and walking around. I had a series of unfortunate events: I scraped my heel on the edge of a square log, which made me loose my balance and step into the only mud in the entire area, which made me get my favorite green shoes all muddy. We then decided to go to the bathroom to wash off my shoes and go to the bathroom and I didn't lift the strings of my dress up so they ended up in the toilet.... It was not one of my shining moments.

Brandon ALWAYS talks about soccer and how much he loves it. I am not really into soccer at all and I am pretty terrible at it. But, since he is my best friend I decided that I would let him show off for me a little bit. On Monday we went to the park and he tried to teach me how to play soccer. He was so excited! He was bouncing off the walls while we were getting things together. He is actually really good at soccer. I was surprised/ really impressed. He is so great :) We are going to play again tonight after I get off work. I love it that we do so many fun things. Tuesday night he made me go running, and it was not too bad. I like running with someone else because then I don't get bored.

Yellowstone

I had the best weekend and I got to spend it with my best friend. We went up to Yellowstone on Friday afternoon but it took us forever to get there. I LOVE taking trips with Brandon because we have so much fun. We got to talk and be together for about 7 hours! We never run out of things to talk about and he just makes me fall in love with him even more when we have those long talks.

What started about as a fun little trip for the 2 of us turned into a family vacation. His parents met us up there and while we were driving he told me that his aunt and uncle and 2 of his cousins were coming too, SUPPLIES! Lucky for me I am really good at making friends and we had a lot of fun. His dad is a really intimidating person and I was not sure if he liked me, but I am pretty sure not, we made eye contact by the end of the trip so I am going to take that as a good sign :)

On Saturday morning we started out with fishing. We found this really long beach and that way AJ was able to run around and get her energy out. She was so cute, she just doesn't know what to think about waves so she would race up and down the beach bitting at the waves and growling! We also had a camp fire and we cooked hot dogs. I worked really hard on connecting with his mom too and I was successful. It turns out that teachers like to talk about their classes and your teahing experience! Score one for Jenny! After fishing for about 3 hours we decieded to just drive through the park and see the wild life. We saw a really cool elk it bugled for us! Brandon was SO excited :) We also got caught in a hurd of Buffalo for like 45 min.

Then on the way back we stopped by Becky's Birthday party and we brought a cake that Grandmalishious made. It was pretty good. We had a fun time at the party :) and AJ got to play with Char Char! They are Besties.

Teaching

Today I taught a PE class full of 3rd graders all by myself! It was really intimidating and super hard. I watched Jordan go before me and his class was so good. That got my confidence up a little bit. Then my kids got there and they were CRAZY! There was one little boy who was down syndrome, everyone was very nice to him, he was really hard to keep under control. He would just start wrestling people and hitting people. Then there was a little boy who acted out a lot. He picked up the dots and was throwing them. He wandered off during the game and I found him later. Making me look super bad. But I watched the play back of my lesson and I didn't do too bad. I said "You guys" way too much, but I will just have to work on that. I think the kids had fun, they said they did afterward when I asked them :) It was a good experience.

AJ update, she is starting to be more obedient and she actually responds to the word No sometimes! Best news ever! She is so cute. Also Brandon said he would be Alvin because I want to be Brittney. He is the best!

Bad News

I have bad news for those of you who were under the impression that I am perfect, I'm not. It turns out I can mass up and I can hurt people's feelings on accident. I like having fun and living my life the way I want to, and not under a lock and key, or under a microscope. Yes I want to have a boyfriend and yes I want to fall in love. If those things qualify me as being imperfect then sign me up. Though it is a worthy goal.
